Louise de Lima

about Louise de Lima

Louise de Lima is a contemporary British artist whose vibrant, intuitive works explore the emotional resonance of colour, gesture, and memory. Working primarily in paint, de Lima creates richly layered compositions that blur the boundaries between abstraction and landscape, inviting viewers into open, contemplative spaces. Her practice is deeply rooted in personal reflection and a sensitivity to the natural world, with each piece offering a poetic response to lived experience.

De Lima’s work has been exhibited across the UK and is held in private collections internationally. In 2023, de Lima was commissioned by David Collins Studio to produce a collection of site specific works for permanent display at the newly refurbished Café de Paris, Monte-Carlo.
